Paw Prints & Paperbacks is a small personal site. We collect as little as possible, and we never sell anything about you.

What we collect

If you use the contact form. We keep your name, email address, the type of inquiry you chose, and your message. It is stored on this website so we can read and reply.

If you subscribe to the newsletter. Your email address is handled by Substack, who run our newsletter.

When you browse. We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit. It tells us things like page views, rough location by region, and what type of device or browser you used. It does not tell us who you are.

Things that load from other companies. Some parts of our pages come from elsewhere: Google Fonts for our lettering, Substack for the subscribe box, a service called Fouita for our Facebook feed, and Pinterest for pin images. When those load, those companies can see your IP address. That is normal for how websites work, but you deserve to know.

What we do with it

We use it to reply to you, to send you posts if you asked for them, and to understand which pages people enjoy. That is all.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run ads.

How long we keep it

Contact messages are kept while they are still useful to us. You can ask us to delete yours at any time and we will.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of any email.
• Block or clear cookies in your browser settings, which stops the analytics.
• Email us to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted.

Children

This site is meant for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and the date at the top.
